Description: For airport operators safety and good business go together; without safety there is no business. Risks must be actively managed to continuously improve the level of safety. However, all too often we do not reflect this in institutional arrangements or when looking at safety budgets or business cases. This forum also looks at ways of enhancing internal dialogue between airport safety managers and the resource decision-making level, and external dialogue with the regulator.
Description: Non-aeronautical (commercial) sources of income represent 40% of total airport revenues. They not only provide diversification in an airport’s income portfolio, but also serve as an additional cushion during economic downturns. This forum will be an opportunity for stakeholders involved in commercial activities to exchange knowledge on developing commercial activities at both international and African airports.
Description: This session explains why the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) matters to environment management at airports and provides practical examples of how airports have successfully managed new challenges on environmental management. These challenges call for bold leadership, including investing in aviation biofuels and data management, which go beyond business as usual.
Description: Delivering good customer experience consistently makes good business sense. We invite delegates to join our lively interactive forum, which will be split into three components: how and why you should understand your customers; how you can engage with your community and stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service; and, how to enhance customer experience through the use technology.
